Burn out is a problem that is seen everywhere in the western world and yoga teachers are far from immune.  How do we balance teaching with other professions, personal, family and social commitments.  We will explore how we can replenish ourselves as teachers so we are teaching with energy and clarity.  We will also reflect on why we teach and what we teach, the dynamics of how we are teaching right now, and what our vision of teaching looks like in the future and how that might be shaped by other experiences in our lives.  We will look at:

  • How do you balance teaching with other professional, personal and social commitments?
  • What nourishes you outside of yoga, gives you energy, zest for life?
  • What are the burn out warning signs
  • What is compassion fatigue and how does it differ from burn out
